| It was high time to tell people what Linux is! It was high time to show that there is a better solution! It was high time to give open minded people a chance to communicate their experiences! LinuxFEST was created! A group of enthusiasts gathered. Everything we had was the idea and the knowledge. There was a lot to do in short amount of time: organise people, find a suitable place, inform Linux audience and hold the biggest Linux event in Yugoslavia... It was the moment when the hall was so full that even a needle couldn't be fitted inside any more that all our fears disappeared - we knew we were doing the right thing! During the three days the LinuxFEST kept changing, many people passed through, and despite ample organisational mistakes everyone reacted positively and that is an understatement! As the main idea was to familiarize people with the idea of Open Source and Linux lectures were held most of the time:
